This historical house in Denver required us to work with the Denver Historical Society to approve all plans and materials. Because the brick used on the home is approximately 120 years old we had to find a suitable match for our project at the reclamation yard.
We began the project with removing a 10 foot diameter tree before we could start work on the formal courtyard. Columns found on the front of the home inspired the architecture. A custom wood trellis, brick seat wall, water feature and landscape lighting were used to trick the senses from being aware of the nearby house. The climbing roses growing on the trellis provide greater privacy when in bloom. The courtyard was further enhanced by installing pockets of low voltage outdoor lighting, a large scale fire feature and two large paver patios to make this area a great place to relax and unwind.
