OUR PROCESS
Initial Consultation:
Our process begins with a client-designer consultation meeting. We meet at your property and get a thorough feel for what it is you would like to achieve with your project. We look at your existing landscape and surroundings and review the issues you’d like to solve. We discuss your vision of the project and expectations.
All of our projects are unique in design, as we always take into consideration our client’s ideas, opinions, and tastes.
Important elements our designers take into consideration:
• The Architecture of the home
• The overall style of the neighborhood and surrounding areas
• Breathtaking views (or undesirable ones)
• House and trim color
• Existing plantings and features
• Budget
• Required permits and HOA guidelines
Conceptual Plan Drafting:
After the initial consultation, we draft a full-color conceptual design plan. For special features, such as outdoor kitchens, fire features or wood structures we present elevation detail drawings to help demonstrate the look of these elements. Once the conceptual design is complete, we create an itemized proposal and meet with you to present the preliminary concept.
Presentation of Plan and Proposal:
At our second meeting we review the conceptual plan. We explain the layout and flow of your new outdoor spaces, and overall use of your new landscape features. At this meeting, we go over the construction techniques used to create your new landscape features and we answer any additional questions. An itemized proposal that corresponds to the conceptual plan is presented and explained.
Starting Your Project:
After all the design revisions have been finalized, plants and materials have been selected, permits approved and investment budget has been confirmed, we are ready to step into the construction stage!
